A Story I actually cared to comment on.

Most of the stories I comment on for some reason or another usually just catch my attention, I have no personal links to them or really care about them all too much. But for once, I actually found a story online I felt I needed to comment because it was personal to me.

In September of this year, one of my best friends in the entire world lost her best guy friend, Kevin, in a car accident. It was extremely sad, not only for my friend but for me as well. Kevin had come to visit my friend, who was then my roommate, a few times our freshman year. He was a fantastic kid with a great sense of humor. Unfortunately, his life was cut short at the age of 20 when he rolled his truck and died from complications from the crash. He was the only person my age I’ve ever know to pass away and the first funeral and wake I’d been to since I was very little.

In Memory of Kevin, his family decided to raise money for the Grafton Football Field to get lights in honor of their son who loved the sport so much. Last night, at a benefit dinner, they finally raised enough money to do so. I was happy of this and felt the need to comment, but since I didn’t know Kevin all that well I kept it short and sweet.

I’m so happy this came through. Vulter, you’ll always be remembered.”
